Bells and Robes maintain a relentless consistency for solid electronic releases. The duo, originally from Gainesville, FL, relocated to Atlanta and since then their momentum has steadily accumulated. With this week’s announcement of their new independent label, Zen Fresh Records, Luke Sipka and Dean Spaniol also reveal a previously unreleased song. “Purple Shower” is an inviting synth-laden psychedelic instrumental rich with imagination. I picture myself awakening to this song in a forest tree house, watching a dewy morning sunrise with a fresh mimosa and strawberries for breakfast. I’d like to make this vacation fantasy happen soon.
