Welcome to Rockville 2018 Lineup Preview

Avenged Sevenfold

Avenged Sevenfold recently released The Stage album in 2017 and has since been performing a world tour with support from Breaking Benjamin & Bullet for my Valentine. All three bands will play Welcome to Rockville according to newly listed North American tour dates. Just weeks ago, Avenged Sevenfold released a deluxe edition of The Stage offering over an hour of covers, live audio and a new song titled “Dose” to the originally released album. Check out the new release here and live at Welcome to Rockville.

Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters also return to the homelands for Rockville and a handful of other US shows after touching base in Southeast Asia, Australia, and Europe on their world tour promoting 2017 release of Concrete and Gold. Favored across the globe as evidence by multiple Grammy awards for Best Album (2012, 2008, 2004, 2001) and a recent nomination for Best International Group for the 2018 BRIT Awards! Don’t miss the chance to catch them while you can in the short months to come. Watch Concrete and Gold’s “The Sky is a Neighborhood” music video:

Godsmack

2018 marks the 20 year anniversary of Godsmack music. The group is currently producing its seventh album and although details on the new work have been extremely tightlipped fans are promised a release before their US tour starts in April; and a single set for release sometime this month. In interviews, Godsmack lead vocals, Sully Erna, strongly hints at heavy incorporation of their debut album into the US tour in addition to their new material.

Queens of the Stone Age

Queens of the Stone Age, in my opinion, is a must-see at Welcome to Rockville. The devil himself would pregame for a sinister debauchery with their latest and seventh album Villains. Produced by Mark Ronson, the fall 2017 release amplifies the desert rockers’ sound with retro Bowiesque melodies. This is certainly an album I’ll be bumping all the way to Metro Park. Listen on Spotify here.

Breaking Benjamin

Breaking Benjamin has been busy in the studios working on their seventh album titled EMBER. The release of single “Red Cold River” predicts a successful album as it has already reached over half a million hits on youtube and sits at #5 on Hot Rocks Songs just 1 week after release. Presales for the album are available now.

Stone Temple Pilots

Stone Temple Pilots return to the stage after a two year hiatus following the death of founding member and lead singer Scott Weiland. The band welcomes Jeff Gutt to fill the void of Weiland’s legacy and so far fans have warmly received the new addition by the sound of their 2018 self-titled album. The sound is all their own and has fans reminiscing the stentorian tones of the golden days that won the band a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 1994 for “Plush“. Stone Temple Pilots is available for pre-sale now with immediate release of tracks “Roll Me Under” and “Meadow”, full studio cut available March 16th. Stone Temple Pilots will play a highly anticipated set on Saturday.

Greta Van Fleet

Greta Van Fleet is a hot ticket band you may have not heard of- YET! Powered by brothers Josh (vocals), Jake (guitar) and Sam (bass) Kiszka and friend Danny Wagner (drums), the quartet will take you back to the Golden Era with rock influences like Led Zepplin and Black Sabbath. Their sound is the real deal and is galvanized by Josh’s vocal at just 20 years old. The talent is bursting at the seams and their music is made, surprisingly, without the use of pedals or effects. The newcomers are on a roll and should be a priority on your Sunday festival schedule.

Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown

Formed out of Nashville, Tennessee Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown has a stellar touring resume opening for talent such as Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, ZZ Top, Guns N’ Roses, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The group recently announced an jam-packed Ramblin’ Bones Tour with Blackberry Smoke. The blues driven hard rock of guitarist Tyler Bryant earned a spot on Eric Clapton’s highly-coveted Crossroads Festival lineup at only 15 years old! Be sure to catch their Saturday set.

Welcome to Rockville 2018 Camping

Welcome to Rockville offers 4 nights of secured camping. Amenities offered include: indoor bathrooms with attendants, indoor shower facilities, a full bar and grill, ice sales and ATMs. Camping packages are primitive and DO NOT include electric or water hookups; a separate festival pass must be purchased.
