Galantis did not disappoint Friday. The energetic brothers exploded onto the stage and performed a phenomenal set paired with live drums and pyrotechnics. They played all their best hits including my favorite “Runway (U & I).”

Another notable performance and discovery to me was Zhu, who mixed a DJ set with live performances by assorted musicians. It was really cool to see him jamming on stage with his stylish hat and flowing clothes to randomly be joined by a guitar shredding musician. I really enjoyed listening to his song “Faded” which was apparently popular with the crowd also as they all cheered when he finally began to play it. [editor’s note: “Faded” is the greatest song of all time.]

There where so many amazing sets, but I’ll finish by saying that Space Kadet was so funky and rad! Contrasted with all of the DJs and EDM I had been listening to, seeing Space Kadet was a great and refreshing way to open the day Saturday.

Imagine Music Festival 2018 was one for the books. The lineup was so full of talent leaving you torn over how to be in two places at once. IMF truly does go out of their way with the production, allowing you to fully experience the music with all you senses engaged.

Friday’s lineup was packed full with artist like Armin Van Buuren, Galantis, The Glitch Mob, 12th Planet, Eddie Gold, Shlump, and so many more. The artist that caught my complete attention was Armin Van Buuren. He put on one of the best performances I have seen to date. He filled the Oceania Stage area with such an unmatched stage presence & controlled the overall atmosphere of the night.

If you have not been to this festival, I highly suggest you marking it on your calendar for 2019.
