COVID-19 is wreaking havoc on the music community with cancelled events and loss of income for a majority of working musicians. Rather than panic, we can find a way to make a positive situation out of a very challenging time.

In this video, Tony van Deen, CEO of Discmakers, shares some insight into how musicians can come out ahead in spite of this crisis. “During our lifetime, we’ve never experienced this kind of economic disruption combined with event cancellations driven by a disease pandemic,” Tony says. “Repercussions are widespread, including (or perhaps especially) for artists, and particularly for those performing live.

In this week’s video , I offer some advice for how not just to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, but also to make sure you emerge even stronger as an artist once this coronavirus has subsided. And indeed, as frantic as things look, it will subside eventually.

During difficult times like these, we need to support each other. Music is one of the best ways to do so.”

He continues, “On our part, the whole Disc Makers team is working to make sure we are here for you when you need us. Here are some of the precautions we’re taking: Our office staff is working from home, and we are all set up so that you can communicate with us without disruptions. For our factory staff, we’ve introduced extra health and sanitation procedures throughout our facility to allow them to safely work on your disc project. And we’re beefing up some of our key raw material inventories in the unlikely event of a supply chain disruption.”
