About The Fritz:

After four years of traveling the East Coast, steadily building a reputation as a live act not to be missed, Asheville music ambassadors The Fritz, played a strong year of sets showing thousands of new fans what throngs of Southeastern music lovers have known for years: The Fritz likes to get funky. As much as they take their funk seriously, the band takes it’s rock-honed songwriting just as seriously, but the wellcrafted song is not the only final product in the live forum. Individually, the members of The Fritz are masters of improvisation, carefully weaving their personality into each performance.

While the music may range from hard driving soul to progressive rock, a common thread of The Fritz’s passionate energy reigns true in each show. Whether live or in the studio, the band creates an energetic dance party every time. In March of 2013, The Fritz released Bootstrap, a collection of songs written over their years touring the Southeast. The boys played their biggest year to date in 2015. Completing appearances at festivals such as Wakarusa and Camp Barefoot, they are currently working on their upcoming third audio and video release. New fans and old eagerly anticipate the new music. The Fritz looks forward to a great year in 2016, as they continue their relentless drive to bring intoxicating live music to crowds everywhere.

About Electric Kif:

Originally formed in 2008, “The KIF” started as a power trio in Miami made up of three eclectic musicians – Rodrigo “Digo” Zambrano on bass, Eric Escanes on guitar, and Ale Fernandez on drums. The group started with three jam sessions that produced an album’s worth of music. Each coming from international backgrounds (Mexico, France, & Costa Rica), they combined their unique sounds to create their debut studio album “Sessions” in 2010. With tracks like “Landing”, and “Electric Spliffs” “The KIF” immediately displayed their distinctive identity and energy.

As the sound continued to develop, new members Armando Lopez on drums and Jason Matthews on Rhodes joined the group. Together the quartet has traveled to Costa Rica several times for the RainFest Music Festival and have played other festivals such as Frankestock and Carnaval on the Mile; one of Miami’s better known music festivals. They just released the first EP, Take Your Time, released April 27th 2015. The EP features the extraordinaire Oz Noy sitting in on guitar in one track. They just started working on their next EP set to be released by the fall of this year. This one will feature some of Miami’s best musicians, who have shown love for the band and have helped create a community of music creators in the budding Miami music scene. This scene has inspired the band to play many different styles with all of the talented musicians around the city, and these styles have melded into “The KIF” sound.
