BILLY STRINGS

Aptly-named Billy Strings is known for his fast, hard picking style, at times breaking several strings on any given song. With his Bluegrass roots firmly planted, Strings’ songs touch his audience at their very heart and soul.

Promoting the release of his latest album, Turmoil & Tinfoil, Strings has spent the last year on the road, with guest appearances on both Greensky Bluegrass’ and The Travelin’ McCourys’ tours. Turmoil & Tinfoil is rich in feeling and depth, displaying why he is one of today’s most respected Bluegrass musicians.

AMY HELM

After co-producing and playing on her father Levon’s Grammy-winning album, Dirt Farmer, Amy Helm decided to strike out on her own. Her dominating voice and remarkable skill in songwriting has helped her pave her own path on the Helm family’s music tradition.

Her first solo album, Didn’t It Rain, featured guest spots from some of the industry’s top talent. Helm earned accolades within the community for her work, which chronicles the emotional journey she endured as she navigated through a series of significant life changes.

THE GRASS IS DEAD

Spend less than a minute in the same room as The Grass is Dead and I guarantee even the worst of frowns will be turned into a beaming smile. Combining Bluegrass and the Grateful Dead’s music, the boys add their own distinct panache to a couple of American originals.

The Grass Is Dead continues to share their talent and pass out smiles everywhere they play, earning them a spot on the list of festival favorites.

JON STICKLEY TRIO

Jon Stickley Trio has quickly earned attention in the music industry, securing them the title of “Road tested and band geek approved!” Their talent and affinity for pushing the boundaries yields a unique, unmatched style, all their own.

The Trio recently announced the addition of new drummer, Hunter Deacon. His classical and Jazz influences have been a welcome addition, as they travel the country in support of their most recent album, Maybe Believe.

FRONT COUNTRY

The members of Front Country have musical backgrounds ranging in everything from composition and classical guitar to Rock, Jazz, and Bluegrass. These talents, coupled with powerhouse lead singer, Melody Walker, make this quintet a force to be reckoned with.

In support of their sophomore album release, Other Love Songs, Front Country is currently on an extensive tour, with an upcoming performance at the infamous Cumberland Caverns, with Jon Stickley Trio, on February 3, 2018.

GRAYSON CAPPS

Singer-songwriter Grayson Capps was raised in Alabama and spent over a decade living in New Orleans, lending him a distinctive sound that is rich in history and culture. Audiences are treated to emotionally and philosophically driven “Southern Gothic” songs that force us to reflect deep within our souls.

In December of 2017, Capps released his first album in six years, Scarlett Roses. He is currently sharing his music and stories on his tour through the Southeast.

RALPH RODDENBERY

Whether performing alone or on one of his many side projects, Ralph Roddenbery uses his natural talent for story-telling to enamor the crowd. While rich in laughter, his singing and songwriting skills invoke every emotion.

When not on the road performing, Roddenbery teaches beginning guitar and songwriting lessons at Music on Main Street (MOMS) in Lilburn, GA.

GRANDPA’S COUGH MEDICINE

Grandpa’s Cough Medicine coined the name “Outlaw Bluegrass” when they first introduced the world to their sound back in 2011. Since then, their foot-stomping, head banging music has left a blaze of smiles everywhere they perform.

After relocating to Asheville, NC, the band announced a new band lineup in 2017. They continue to work on new projects and travel for shows up and down the southeast.

NIKKI TALLEY

The first time I was introduced to Nikki Talley’s music, I heard her angelic voice from halfway across the park. Nikki’s vocal talent, combined with her clawhammer skills and husband Jason Sharp’s guitar leads and vocal harmonizing, made me quickly realize why they are so beloved down to the very roots of Suwannee.

After 3.5 years of non-stop traveling and shows, Talley and Sharp took a well-deserved break to welcome the birth of their baby girl, Eva Rose Sharp. Welcome to the Suwannee family, Eva. We are all excited to meet you!

BIG COSMO

Big Cosmo is perhaps most widely-known as Randy Judy, a co-creator of Spirit of Suwannee’s annual Springfest and MagnoliaFest. Those blessed enough to hear him sing are quick to realize just how deep his talent and influence runs.

Big Cosmo has dedicated his life to spreading a positive, enlightened message through Americana music and the culture that it embodies.
