Spring always brings an onslaught of music to FL, there was AURA Music & Arts Festival last weekend, Wanee next month, and the weekend right before Wanee we have one of my all time favorites, the Springing The Blues Festival in Jacksonville Beach. It’s hard to beat listening to some of the country’s best blues musicians, while sitting a stones throw away from the beach in some gorgeous Spring-time Florida sunshine. The festival takes place at the beautiful amphitheater in the heart of Jax Beach, and is surrounded by hotels, bars, restaurants… you name it. The fact that it’s free doesn’t hurt either! I have yet to miss a single Blues Fest, and our oceanfront rooms have long since been reserved for this years event. It’s a friendly & family-oriented environment, loaded with art & food vendors, and entertainment of all shapes & sizes. Attendance is highly recommended!
“Springing The Blues is a free outdoor blues music festival designed to celebrate America’s indigenous musical form and promote support of the arts. The three-day oceanfront event features a number of renowned blues performers as well as numerous displays and activities geared for the entire family. It will be held at Jacksonville Beach, Florida’s Oceanfront SeaWalk Pavilion on April 13,14 and 15, 2012!”
