A night out in St. Augustine is always a solid plan for any tourist, local, or music junkie, but on Saturday night especially for anyone looking for a good jam-rock band. Umphrey’s McGee opened up with a grooving “Catshot” that jump started the first set at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. Midway through, the quintet dropped a Police cover, “Driven to Tears.” By that point the crowd was already in full dance mode throughout the end when they [accordingly] closed out with a heavy rocking “Rocker Part 2.”
The second set awakened with a long awaited “Ocean Billy” of which brought unfathomed veracity to begin the end. That veracity was continued when Umphs dropped a second cover, “Kashmir”, by the one and only Led Zeppelin. Before that everyone was getting the eff down to “Booth Love”, a surefire jammer. To cap off such a phenomenal night Umphrey’s McGee closed out a ground shaking night by serving up an encore favorite, “JaJunk”. All in all the entirety of the night was full of killer vibes, shredding jams, and ultimate dance parties…just like any other badass Umphrey’s show.
