NastyNasty @ Crunchay Sunday – Jacksonville (7/1/12)

Making his 3rd stop at TSI’s Crunchay Sunday, aka Studio Filthay Floor…

the behemoth of bass music…. NASTYNASTY!!!

The last 2 times NastyNasty came through Jax were some of the rowdiest experiences I’ve had at Crunchay Sunday. And if you’ve been to one of the weekly Sunday melee’s at Club TSI, then you know that is a rather noteworthy achievement. It was almost a year ago to the day that he was here last, and it was a packed out Independence Day weekend throwdown, with a nearly sold out crowd, and more bass than I’ve ever heard in that building. NastyNasty combines a variety of styles that fall under the recently, all-too-commonly used umbrella of “bass music”. But aside from using that term, it’s hard to pin his production down to a single genre. Based on the BPM’s alone, much of it would be labeled dubstep; but that over-simplifies and understates the amount of depth and variation in his creations.  It transcends the genre and truly creates a style unique to himself.

I’d expect this baby to sell out. Not only will the tunes be on point all night, but it’s being billed as a “lingerie party”, with ladies in the proper attire receiving discounted admission, and a free keg of Woodchuck’s from 9-11 to start the evening off right. Come early, stay late.
