Georges Music’s 20th annual Springing the Blues Festival

This weekend in Jacksonville Beach is the 20th annual George’s Music Springing the Blues Festival. I haven’t missed a single one of these yet, and our group just continues to grow every year. The weather should be beautiful all weekend, and since it’s free, you have no excuse not to be there, too!

WHO: More than 20 national and regional blues artists featuring Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band, Cedric Burnside and Lightnin’ Malcolm, Toots Lorraine and the Traffic, Skinny Legs and All and many more.

WHAT: A free three-day music festival. Food, arts, crafts and other vendor exhibitors along with activities for the kids. Saturday “outerfest” activities include a surf contest, 5K run/2.5K walk and metric century bike ride.

WHEN: Friday, April 9 at 5 p.m. – Sunday, April 11 at 7 p.m

WHERE: SeaWalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach

WHY: Celebration of spring and the Blues in all its forms. A free beachside activity for families and blues fans.
