Multi-platinum recording artist Jack Johnson announces the release of his 7th studio album, All The Light Above It Too, available September 8 through Johnson’s own Brushfire Records label. The album’s first single, “My Mind Is For Sale” was released today, accompanied by a lyric video (watch atwww.rollingstone.com/music/news/jack-johnson-busts-walls-in-anti-trump-my-mind-is-for-sale-w492140) and is now available to purchase through all digital platforms, along with the full album pre-order at https://jackjohnson.lnk.to/AllTheLightAboveItToo . Fans are also able to pre-order a limited number of exclusive album bundles, including a special blue and clear color swirl vinyl package, through www.jackjohnsonmusic.com/store.

All The Light Above It Too was recorded over the past year at Johnson’s Hawaii based Mango Tree Studio. For the first time in years Johnson handled most of the instrumentation himself, echoing the four-track recordings that launched his career over 17 years ago. “This album shares what has been on my mind during the past year or so,” says Johnson. “A year in which I sailed through the North Atlantic Gyre for a documentary about plastic pollution in the ocean. A year in which Trump was elected as the President of the United States. A year in which I camped, surfed, got stitches, explored, dreamed, shared time and endless conversations with my family and friends… all of which inspired these songs. I usually make sketches of the songs first then set up a time to actually record the album. This time around the original sketches became the final versions. I didn’t want to lose any of the spirit that a song has in its rawest form.” To finish out the record Johnson called upon producer Robbie Lackritz (Feist, Bahamas), along with his longtime band mates to play on a few of the tracks.

Jack Johnson grew up surfing and playing guitar in Hawaii. Since 2001, he has released 6 studio albums and 2 live albums that have sold over 25 million copies worldwide. His Brushfire Records label and touring crew have been leaders in the greening of the music industry and his All At Once social action network connects fans with local non-profits at each tour stop. Jack, with his wife Kim, founded the Kokua Hawaii Foundation to support environmental education in Hawaii’s schools and communities, as well as the Johnson Ohana Foundation to support environmental, art and music education worldwide. The total of these album and tour profit donations, along with Johnson’s personal charitable activities, have resulted in over $30 million donated to charity since 2001. All The Light Above It Too is Johnson’s first release since 2013’s chart topping From Here To Now To You.

Green Hands Initiative at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre is proud to continue the work that coincided with Jack Johnson’s “All At Once” Tour in 2014 in which the Tour requested venue participation in conservation efforts during performances. In 2016, the St. Augustine Amphitheatre integrated a number of energy and waste reduction practices including The One Less Plastic Bottle Program, which eliminated the use of plastic water bottles throughout the venue. Six filtered water refill stations are available at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre for public and backstage usage, Concessions have transitioned from selling plastic bottled water to boxed water and BPA-free Green Hands Nalgene refillable water bottles are available for purchase at all events. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own refillable nonmetal water bottle. The Green Hands Initiative is sponsored by Advanced Disposal Services.
