Dirtybird Campout East 2018 is around the corner! Happening in St Cloud, Florida from February 2nd-4th, this event marks the first ever Dirtybird Campout on the East Coast and lucky for us, it’s located right in the heart of our beloved state. With a line up stacked to the sky with artists from both the Dirtybird Label and from around the world, the first weekend of February is sure to be as mind melting as it is extraordinary for house music lovers all over the Southeast.
Starting with a Thursday night Pre-Party hosted by the infamous Seth Troxler and finishing with the now legendary closing family set made popular at the numerous West Coast Camp Outs, Claude Vonstroke and his crew are just refusing to hold any punches. Not only can you expect music until the sun rises, but you can look forward to all of the arts, crafts, comedy, sports, and board games that your little Dirtybird heart desires. Dirtybird Records can trace its origins back to 2005 in San Francisco. While enthralled in San Francisco’s underground house music scene, Claude Vonstroke (A.K.A. Barclay Crenshaw) along with brothers Justin and Christian Martin, decided to provide party animals with a type of house music that refused to take itself too seriously. Described as ‘tech funk,’ Claude and the Dirtybird’s new brand of electronic music took the underground house scene by storm. In 2013, Dirtybird Records was named “Underground Label of the Year” at the International Dance Music Awards at the Winter Music Conference. That same year saw the first Campout, or as Claude describes it: “The best party in the history of mankind.” The Dirtybird campout is truly a one of a kind event which will turn the space at Forever Florida into an oasis of music and immersive experiences. At only 13 years old, we can’t wait to see what a teenage Dirtybird has in store for us.
